Description
Director Prabhat Roy, whose films always boast of a social agenda within the commercial format, has completed Pitribhumi based on a novel by celebrated Bengali litterateur Prafulla Roy. It has been shot within an incredibly short span of 33 days.

Storyline
Pitribhumi stars Jeet and Swastika Mukherjee in the romantic lead where Jeet has been stripped completely of his glamorous screen image to step into the simple character of a young NRI who comes home to save his ancestral house from being handed over to devious promoters.
